Just arrived and awaiting some time in the spa, a beautiful 421G and one of the rarest mid century tables… once we have refinished the table and serviced the machine it will be available for sale.
The 421G and 431G models were never sold by Singer in North America, but quite a number were brought over privately, especially by military persons who were serving in Germany in the 1960’s.

I have recently acquired one of these neat cabinets (421 G cabinet), with out the machine. I’m using it with my 201, which just fits, with a “filler” piece where the 421 fold up/down leaf sits.
My question is;
On the underside of the table, at the left end of the table opening ( where the fold up/down leaf sits), my cabinet is missing something( either 2 wood blocks or brackets).
The 2 spots ( 1 at each side of the opening), where the cabinet wood is fresh, 1 1/2” wide & 3” long/downwards). Each spot has 2 screw holes.
I wonder if you could have a look at your cabinet and let me know what you find. I very much appreciate your consideration in advance.
