Life and love…

Today was my day off but that did not stop me from going for a drive in the snow to go and pick up a little gem of a Bernina…

Bernina 530-2 Record – 1959 – Switzerland

After that I fired up the snow-blower since we just got a 12 inch dump of snow, cleared our place as well as 4 more neighbours walkways as some of these folks are elderly, and the snow crews that do this work, are gonna be days behind.

All the way down the block and back…

And between stints walking behind the (vintage) snowblower, I made some fresh butter… and there is nothing like fresh buttermilk either.

Butter and buttermilk…

Make it Sew…

The snow is falling outside and I thought I should finish up my little up-cycled scarf project, using some of the fabric I found at the thrift store the other day.

My old Kenmore never fails me, and I didn’t even run out of bobbin thread.

Well, it was a busy (for me) week and I even managed to start a little sewing project last night…

I think I got a lot done here this week, and have updated and added to most of the pages, tweaked a few things,  and now I just need to talk to Pearl about what new tips she has for people.

Starting to think about springtime already, and am looking forward to hitting the road to teach some classes, if my health allows.

Even our motor home is vintage, it is a 1986 Citation and is a wonderful home away from home.

I pack our little Kenmore 1030 with us, in case I need to repair something, and think I have room for a small treadle where the easy chair used to sit.

I am always ready to go fishing at a moment’s notice too. 🙂
